When working with AI for IT Operations (AIOps), Wania realized that the intelligence in these solutions can be disruptive, but it is necessary to adjust a leader’s mindset so that companies can truly benefit from them. In this article, Wania discusses the disruptive moment we are living in and how it affects leadership. Historically, the world has gone through several disruptive transformations that changed the way we work, like the first Industrial Revolution that happened in Great Britain. The Management approach was created based on mass production, where the manager’s role was to monitor and replace in case of failure. This approach was effective then, but now, with technology’s evolution, we need a more decentralized and human-centered approach. When we talk about decentralization, we tend to associate it with agile management models and, on the technical side, with new web3 technologies like blockchain. Yet, at its core, is human interaction. According to the CEO of OpenAI, Sam Altman, in an interview with Bloomberg Technology ”repetitive human work that does not require a deep emotional connection between two people will be done in the next couple of decades better, cheaper and faster by AI.”
